Terms of Service
Moto Garage is a motorcycle maintenance and garage app published by ADVLabs, a brand of Choyce Industries, LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company ("we", "us" and "our" throughout). These terms are the agreement between you and us for using Moto Garage: the iOS and Android apps, the web app at app.motogarage.io, and the public pages it serves, such as shared ride reports and event registration pages (together, "the Service").
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. It is part of these terms, and the promises in it still stand: we never sell your data, there are no ads and no tracking.
The short version
Your garage is yours. You own what you put in Moto Garage, and it's free for riders. Only share what you have the right to share, and remember a public link really is public. Don't use the app to hurt anyone. Event organizers run their own events, and money for an event never passes through us. Moto Garage keeps track of your bike, but it isn't your mechanic, so use your own judgment. This summary is here to help; the full terms below are what count.
Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account, or by using any part of the Service (including viewing a public page or registering for an event without an account), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
If you use Moto Garage on behalf of a club, shop, team or event organizer, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for them, and "you" includes that organization.
If your account existed before these terms took effect, we'll tell you about them by email or in the app. If you keep using Moto Garage after that notice, you accept them; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.
Who can use Moto Garage
- You must be 18 or older to create an account or use Moto Garage. Nobody under 18 may have an account or use the Service themselves.
- The one exception is event entries. A rider aged 13 to 17 can be entered in an event by a parent or guardian, or by the event's organizer with a parent or guardian's permission. The rider doesn't get an account, and the person who makes the entry is responsible for it. Riders under 13 can't be entered.
- Most events are for riders 18 and older. Each organizer sets their event's age rules and is responsible for any parent or guardian consent or waiver it requires; see "Events and organizers" below.
- You can't use the Service if the law where you live forbids it, or if we've previously ended your account for breaking these terms (including under our repeat-infringer policy).
Your account
- Give accurate sign-up details and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
- One person per account. Tell us at hello@advlabs.io if you think someone else has got into yours.
- When you invite someone to a bike or a trip, you choose what they can see and do, and you can remove them at any time. What they add is attributed to them.
- You can delete your account whenever you like, from Settings → Delete account. The Privacy Policy explains what that removes.
Free for riders
Moto Garage is free for riders. There are no paid tiers: Basic and Pro are modes that change which features you see (Pro is built for racers), not plans you pay for.
Some links in the app may be labeled affiliate links. If you buy something after tapping one, the retailer may pay us a small commission at no extra cost to you. The Privacy Policy describes how that works and how to turn them off. Commissions never change your maintenance schedule or what the app recommends.
If we ever offer something paid, for example tools for shops or event organizers, it will be optional, clearly priced, and covered by separate terms you agree to before paying anything.
Your content
"Your content" is everything you add: bikes, service records, intervals, parts, notes, trips and logs, photos, receipts, documents and manuals, GPX tracks, setup sheets, and anything else you upload or type in.
You own it
You keep all ownership rights in your content. We don't claim any of it.
The permission you give us
To run the Service, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, back up, copy, process and display your content, only as needed to provide the Service to you and to the people you choose to share it with. "Process" covers things like resizing a photo, trimming a GPS track, building a link preview, or reading a receipt you asked us to scan.
When you make something public, the licence covers showing it to anyone who opens the link. It does not let us sell your content, use it in ads, or use your scans to improve our scanner unless you opt in, as the Privacy Policy describes.
The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for: copies that clear out of our backups in the normal course; copies other people already have because you shared with them (a co-rider's own trip entries, history you transferred to a bike's buyer, or details you gave an event organizer); event entries, which stay with their event as the Privacy Policy describes; and anything the law requires us to keep.
Your promises about what you post
When you upload or share content, you confirm that:
- You have the rights to it. Photos you took or have permission to use, GPS tracks you recorded or have permission to share, and documents you're allowed to keep. A service manual you bought is fine to store privately for your own use, but it isn't yours to share publicly.
- It respects other people. It doesn't share someone else's personal information, such as their contact details or where they live, without their permission.
- It's honest. Service history you show to a buyer, a shop or an event is a true record. Don't invent or alter records to mislead anyone.
- It's lawful and follows the acceptable use rules below.
Public links and what "public" means
Some features let you publish a page anyone can open without an account: a ride report, a bike setup sheet, or a service-history link you show to a shop. When you publish one:
- Anyone who has the link can see the page. We don't list these pages in the app, but links get forwarded, posted and screenshotted, and a link posted somewhere public can end up in search results. Treat a public link as public.
- Only content built to be public goes on the page. Private fields stay out. Some details, like a VIN or costs on a service-history link, appear only if you tick them for that link.
- Ride reports trim the start and end of a GPS track by default, so the map doesn't lead to your front door. You can change that, so check what you're publishing before you share it.
- You can take it down. You can revoke a ride report or setup sheet at any time, which removes the page and its copied photos. Service-history links also expire on their own after the period you choose. We can't recall copies other people already made.
Event listings in the public event directory are public pages too, and the organizer who lists an event is responsible for what it says.
Acceptable use
Please don't use Moto Garage to:
- upload or share content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark or other rights;
- post anything illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or defamatory;
- share another person's personal information without their permission, or impersonate anyone;
- falsify maintenance or ownership records to mislead a buyer, shop, insurer or event organizer;
- send spam or unwanted invites, or promote illegal events such as street racing;
- access accounts or data that aren't yours, or get around the Service's security, rate limits or sharing controls;
- scrape, overload or disrupt the Service, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows;
- break any law that applies to you.
Events and organizers Rolling out
Moto Garage helps event organizers list events and take registrations, and helps riders find and join them. Event features are still rolling out and may not be in your app yet. Organizer access is something we grant case by case, and we can remove it.
If you organize an event
- The event is yours. You're responsible for running it safely and lawfully, including permits, insurance, waivers, rules, any parent or guardian consent or waiver your event requires for riders under 18, and what your listing says.
- Entering a rider under 18. You may enter a rider under 18 only with a parent or guardian's permission, and you confirm you have it each time you do. Riders under 13 can't be entered.
- So is the data you collect. You decide what your registration form asks for. Collect only what you need to run the event, use it only for that, keep it secure, and follow the privacy laws that apply to you, including any rules about minors.
- Payments happen off Moto Garage. You take any entry fees through your own provider (PayPal, Square, Stripe or similar). Moto Garage is never the merchant of record, never holds or moves money, and is not part of refunds, chargebacks or payment disputes.
- Records are yours, not a certification. Marks you make in Moto Garage (paid, checked in, passed inspection and so on) record your judgment. Moto Garage doesn't inspect, approve or certify any rider or bike.
- Where Moto Garage runs registration on your behalf, and the registration page says so, we act on your instructions.
If you ride in an event
- The event is run by its organizer, not by us. Entry terms, fees, refunds, waivers and event rules are between you and the organizer.
- What you submit when you register goes to the organizer, as the registration page and the Privacy Policy explain. Once they have it, their own privacy practices apply.
Copyright and DMCA notices
We respect creators' rights and expect riders to do the same. We respond to notices of claimed copyright infringement under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).
Sending a notice
If you believe content on Moto Garage infringes a copyright you own or manage, send a written notice to our designated agent (below) that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or a person authorized to act for them;
- the copyrighted work you say is infringed (or, for several works, a representative list);
- the material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it. The page's link is the best way, for example app.motogarage.io/t/…;
- your name, postal address, telephone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), anyone who knowingly misrepresents that material is infringing can be liable for damages, so please consider whether the use might be allowed (for example as fair use) before you send one. Notices that don't include these elements may not get a response. For other problems, such as privacy or abuse, use the Report link on the page or email us instead.
What happens next
When we receive a valid notice we remove or disable access to the material promptly. We tell the rider who posted it and send them a copy of the notice, including the sender's name and contact details, so they can respond.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, you can send our designated agent a counter-notice that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the material that was removed and where it appeared before it was removed;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is (or, if you're outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found), and that you'll accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or their agent.
We forward the counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us first that they've filed a court action to keep the material down, we restore it between 10 and 14 business days after we received your counter-notice. Knowingly misrepresenting that material was removed by mistake carries the same liability under § 512(f).

Repeat infringers
We keep a record of every valid notice against each account, and we terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. An account gets a strike for each valid notice that leads us to remove material, unless the notice is withdrawn or the material is restored after a counter-notice. An account that reaches three strikes within 12 months is terminated, and its owner may not open a new account. We may also end an account sooner, even after a single notice, when the infringement is clear and deliberate.
Reporting a problem
Every shared ride report, setup sheet and service-history page has a Report link that emails us with the page's address. Use it, or email hello@advlabs.io, to tell us about anything that breaks these terms: a privacy problem, abuse, or something that shouldn't be there. We read every report and may remove content or act on an account as a result, though we can't promise a reply to each one.
Removing content and ending accounts
We may remove or disable content, limit features, or suspend or end an account if we reasonably believe it breaks these terms or the law, infringes someone's rights, puts other people at risk, or if the law requires it. Where it's reasonable and lawful, we'll tell you what we did and why, and give you a chance to respond and to export your data.
You can stop using Moto Garage and delete your account at any time. We may change or retire features over time. If we ever shut the Service down, we'll give you clear advance notice and time to export your data first.
If an account ends, the sections of these terms that by their nature should continue (ownership, the promises about your content, disclaimers, limits of liability, indemnity, and disputes) still apply.
Third-party services
Moto Garage relies on, and links to, services we don't control. These include maps (Mapbox), weather forecasts (Open-Meteo), receipt and work-order scanning (Anthropic's Claude), hosting and storage (Google Firebase), notification delivery (Expo, Apple and Google), email delivery (Amazon SES), the App Store and Google Play, and links to retailers, manufacturers and other websites. Their own terms and privacy policies cover what they do. Maps, routes, weather and scanned details can be wrong or out of date, so check anything that matters.
If you got Moto Garage from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the iOS app. If you got it from Google Play, Google Play's terms apply to your download. Apple and Google aren't parties to these terms and aren't responsible for the Service or for supporting it; we are.
A tool, not a mechanic
Maintenance intervals, due dates, reminders, mileage, tire wear estimates, setup sheets and scanned details are only as good as the information behind them, and many are estimates. They don't replace your manufacturer's service manual, a qualified mechanic, or your own judgment. Riding is dangerous, and you're responsible for the condition of your bike and how you ride it. Nothing in Moto Garage is a safety inspection or a certification of any bike or rider.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that data will never be lost, so keep your own export of anything that matters to you. Some places don't allow these exclusions, so some of them may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Choyce Industries, LLC and its members, employees and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from or related to the Service, whether or not we were told such damages were possible. This includes anything that arises from riding, from an event, or from relying on a reminder or estimate.
Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Since Moto Garage is free for riders, that amount is usually zero. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow to be limited.
Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of your content, or because you broke these terms or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, including legal fees, to the extent the law allows. If you're an event organizer, that also includes claims about your event and the information you collected for it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Moto Garage changes. When we do, we'll update the effective date above. For material changes we'll tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Moto Garage after that, you accept the new terms; if you don't agree, you can stop using it and delete your account.
Governing law and disputes
If something goes wrong, please email us first. Most problems get sorted out that way, and we'll try in good faith to resolve yours within 30 days before either of us goes further.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that isn't resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in East Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either of us may still bring a claim in small-claims court if it qualifies. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the consumer laws where you live.
The rest of the fine print
- These terms, the Privacy Policy, and any extra terms shown for a specific feature are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
- If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we don't enforce something straight away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later.
- You can't transfer your rights under these terms without our agreement. We may transfer ours only together with the Service, to a successor bound by the Privacy Policy's commitments, as it describes.
- If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
